Psychotherapy and Counselling for Members of Veterans Affairs

Access professional, confidential mental health support from clinicians experienced in working with veterans, military personnel, and first responders. Whether you’re currently serving or retired, our counselling services—approved by Veterans Affairs Canada—are here to support you.

Support for Veterans Through VAC

ARCH Psychological Services is a registered provider with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), offering counselling and psychotherapy services to veterans and eligible clients with direct billing available.

If you’re a VAC member, you may be entitled to receive psychological support at no cost to you. This includes treatment for trauma-related concerns such as PTSD, as well as counselling for anxiety, depression, grief, and other challenges that may arise during or after service. Our goal is to reduce barriers so that you can access the care you need—when you’re ready to take that step.

We recognize that reaching out can be difficult. For many veterans, the hardest part is acknowledging that something doesn’t feel right. At ARCH, you’ll find a respectful, non-judgmental environment where you can speak freely and be supported by clinicians who understand the mental health impacts of military service.

Whether you’re transitioning out of service or continuing to carry the weight of past experiences, you don’t have to do it alone. Support is available—and it’s closer than you think.

Who This Program Supports

Many current and former service members carry the emotional impact of their role long after the uniform comes off. Some struggle with symptoms tied to specific traumatic events, while others experience a gradual build-up of stress that’s harder to pinpoint.

Through our VAC-approved counselling services, we support individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. We meet you wherever you are in your healing process—with expertise, empathy, and confidentiality.

Veterans
Veterans may carry the psychological impact of traumatic experiences long after their service ends. In Canada, it’s estimated that up to 10% of war zone veterans experience PTSD—while others face lingering effects that may be harder to name. Whether you’re managing chronic symptoms, feeling emotionally disconnected, or just know something isn’t right, ARCH offers VAC-approved therapy that meets you where you are. Support is confidential, evidence-based, and tailored to your pace of healing.
Active Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Members
Active service often brings exposure to complex and intense situations that can take a toll on mental health. ARCH is a registered provider for CAF members and offers therapy that’s proactive, respectful, and trauma-informed. Whether you’re dealing with operational stress or navigating personal challenges outside of duty, our clinicians are here to support your psychological resilience—without judgment.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
RCMP officers face unique psychological demands tied to high-stakes responsibilities, repeated exposure to traumatic events, and long-term stress accumulation. ARCH’s clinicians understand the complexities of this role and provide counselling grounded in compassion and clinical expertise. If you’re an RCMP member experiencing stress, trauma, or emotional fatigue, we offer support that respects both your service and your individual needs.
