Online Counselling

Access professional psychological support from the comfort of your home. Whether you’re in a remote community or simply prefer virtual care, our secure, confidential online counselling services make it easier to get the help you need—no matter where you live.

What Is Online Counselling?

Online counselling—also called telepsychology—is the delivery of psychological services through secure video or phone sessions. While the technology is modern, the idea isn’t new. Psychologists have been helping people address life challenges from a distance for decades, and today, online care is a trusted option for individuals across Canada.

What makes online counselling effective is not just convenience; it’s the ability to access timely, professional support even when in-person services aren’t available. Whether you’re in a remote community or navigating mobility, transportation, or scheduling challenges, virtual care ensures that mental health support is still within reach.

ARCH Psychological Services provides the same high standard of care online as we do in-person. Sessions are conducted using secure, encrypted platforms that protect your privacy while making therapy more accessible. For many of our clients, online counselling is the first step toward meaningful progress, without needing to leave home.

Who We Help and Where We Work

ARCH Psychological Services is located in Alberta, and we provide full online counselling services to clients across the province. Whether you’re in Edmonton, Calgary, a rural area, or anywhere in between, our online platform allows you to access therapy without the need to travel. Alberta residents can connect with our team through secure video conferencing or by phone, depending on what works best for their needs.

We also support clients across Canada through telepsychology, based on current regulatory guidelines. If you live outside Alberta, you may still be eligible to work with our team online:

Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick

These provinces allow telepsychology services from licensed professionals in other jurisdictions. You can receive therapy from our Alberta-based team without restrictions.

Yukon

Although Yukon does not have a formal regulatory body for psychologists, the Psychological Society of Yukon supports access to telepsychology. Services from ARCH can be accessed remotely without issue.

Nunavut

Residents of Nunavut are eligible for telepsychology services through ARCH until June 30, 2026, under the current Health Canada policy.

How We Deliver Online Services

Secure Video Conferencing

We use encrypted platforms to provide therapy sessions that protect your privacy and ensure confidentiality. Many of our clients connect from remote regions, where this may be the only accessible option.

Phone Therapy

For clients who cannot access video-based counselling or prefer speaking by phone, we offer therapy sessions by telephone.

We also have a toll-free number, so there are no additional costs associated with phone counselling.
