Ashley Sabados, MA, RPsych
Ashley Sabados is an EMDR-trained Registered Psychologist in Alberta, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Calgary and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, USA. With extensive experience across private practice, the justice system, and social services in both Canada and the United States, Ashley brings a diverse and comprehensive perspective to her work. Currently, alongside her focused forensic practice at ARCH Psychological Services, she works in corrections, providing therapy and assessment for forensic populations. Ashley's forensic expertise includes conducting court-ordered assessments centered on children’s welfare in custodial and child protection cases. She maintains a child-centered approach that prioritizes safety, stability, and well-being, and is proficient in other forensic assessments, such as risk evaluations and presentencing reports. Her work as an expert witness spans family and criminal law, where she has provided testimony on critical matters in these fields. In her therapeutic practice, Ashley supports children, adolescents, and adults through individual, couples, and group therapy, utilizing a person-centered approach that integrates CBT and DBT-informed practices, and EMDR. She has a particular focus on complex clinical and forensic cases, often working with both victims and perpetrators of trauma. Known for her empathetic approach, Ashley combines warmth and humor in her sessions, creating a supportive, uplifting environment. Based in Calgary, Ashley offers her services virtually, extending her reach to clients who prefer remote sessions.
