Stephen Tripodi, MC, CCC
Stephen
is
a
Registered
Provisional
Psychologist
with
a
Master’s
degree
in
Counselling
Psychology
from
City
University
of
Seattle.
His
primary
area
of
experience
has
been
in
sexual
trauma,
as
a
counsellor
working
at
the
Sexual
Assault
Centre
of
Edmonton.
However,
in
private
practice,
Stephen
sees
a
variety
of
different
individuals,
children
and
adolescence,
with
unique
and
diverse
needs.
He
treats
PTSD
and
trauma,
depression,
anxiety,
relationship
difficulties,
and
many
other
life
difficulties
people
may
experience.
His
passion
is
working
with
athletes
for
performance
coaching
to
assist you in being your best.
Stephen
practices
evidence-based
approaches,
utilizing
Cognitive
Behavioural
Therapy
(CBT),
Acceptance
and
Commitment
Therapy
(ACT),
and
Mindfulness
Based
Cognitive
Therapy
(MBCT).
He
believes
that
introspection
and
meaning-making,
awareness,
and
acceptance
of
one’s
thoughts
and
feelings
are
crucial
to
the
healthy
functioning
of
the
individual.
As
a
life-long
athlete,
He
is
also
interested
in
individuals
in
the
sport
community.
Stephen
is
passionate
about
Sports
Psychology,
performance,
and
coaching
and
the
treatment
of
individuals
struggling
with
these
issues,
as
well as their coaches and support systems.
