Personality Assessment A   Personality Assessment   is   typically   conducet   at   the   request   of   individuals   who   want   to   understand   themselves   better.   It   can   be   used   as   an   aid   for   self   awarness, personal growth, and improvement in personal relationships. Psychological Functioning Assessment When   a   client   seeks   the   services   of   a   psychologist   because   a   mental   health   problem,   the   psychologist   can   use   a   Functional Assessment   in   order   to   find   out   what problems the client needs help with and determine what course of treatment is likely to benefit the client. Psycho-Legal Assessment A   Forensic Assessment   is   typically   conducted   either   at   the   request   of   an   attorney   or   by   court   order.   The   purpose   of   a   forensic   assessment   is   to   determine   the   facts at   issue   in   a   legal   matter   such   as   a   lawsuit   or   a   criminal   case.   It   differs   from   other   types   of   assessment   in   several   ways,   including   its   purpose,   the   psychologist's role/relationship with the client, the limits of confidentiality, the voluntariness of the evaluation and the type of testimony that ensues.
