Kirthana Ramani, MSc, RPsych

Kirthana   Ramani   is   a   Registered   Psychologist   in   the   province   of   Alberta.   She   completed   her   Master’s   degree   in Bangalore,   India,   and   subsequently   equated   her   academic   credentials   to   Canadian   standards.   She   is   trained   within   a cognitive-behavioural framework, and takes a person-centred approach to counselling/therapy. Kirthana   is   a   passionate   and   genuine   psychologist.   She   has   considerable   experience   working   closely   with   First Nations/Aboriginal   people,   and   has   great   respect   for   their   culture   and   history.   She   is   FNIHB   approved,   and   hopes to continue and grow in her work with the “Indians” of Canada! Kirthana   has   experience   working   with   children,   adolescents   and   adults.   She   particularly   enjoys   working   with children/adolescents   and   their   parents,   mediating   the   relationship   and   building   strengths   on   both   sides.   Kirthana also   works   with   couples   and   families,   and   is   passionate   about   helping   each   individual   find   their   full   and   true expression    within    the    larger    relational    bond.    Kirthana    also    conducts    a    variety    of    assessments    like    parenting capacity    assessments,    AISH/PDD    assessments,    and    psychoeducational    assessments.    She    is    sensitive    to    the importance and possible ramifications of such evaluations, and takes great care and interest in the entire process. Helping   each   individual   find   their   own   growth   and   maturity   from   within,   in   an   ever-changing   world   and   in   multi- cultural   contexts,   is   what   Kirthana   is   passionate   about.   She   hopes   to   make   a   difference   to   the   lives   she   comes   in touch with. Kirthana also provides services in Hindi , Tamil , and Kannada .  

