Jacilynn Martinson is a provisionally registered psychologist in the province of Alberta. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, and a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, in Phoenix Arizona, in 2012. Jacilynn has experience working as a youth and family counsellor, with children with behavioural and mental health issues, with abused women and children fleeing domestic violence, and in addictions. Currently, Jacilynn works as a Clinical Counsellor doing individual and couples counselling for individuals with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, anger, addictions, grief, self- esteem, and emotional regulation. Jacilynn also works as a client care aide at the Thorpe Recovery Centre in Lloydminster. Additionally, she serves as chair for the Lloydminster and Area Drug Strategy (LADS) committee and is passionate about the awareness and education of responsible alcohol use in and around the community. Jacilynn believes in building a strong therapeutic rapport with her clients in a counselling setting, and finding and building on their strengths during sessions. Jacilynn is interested in the areas of forensic assessment, cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma, and addictions.
