Douglas Nechio, MEd, RPsych
Douglas is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. He currently specializes in providing a variety of culturally sensitive psychological assessments for school-age children as well as adults. Besides conducting formal psychological assessment, he works in a therapeutic capacity with adolescents, adults, and families using a trauma- informed approach to psychotherapy that utilizes a variety of evidence-based techniques and treatments. Douglas received clinical training in both counselling and psychological assessment from the University of Saskatchewan and in Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology from the State University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In a different capacity, Douglas works with various non-profit and governmental agencies and schools in mental health, education and child welfare. Douglas provides counselling support to children, youth, and adults dealing with a variety of psycho-educational and mental health concerns, including learning and attention difficulties, behavioural and emotional deregulation, and attachment issues.

