Services
(IDS
HSS)
is
a
nationwide
program
specifically
designed
to
offer
support
to
former
students
of
Indian
Day
Schools
or
their
family
members.
This
initiative
recognizes
the
historical
impact
of
Indian
Day
Schools
and
strives
to
address
the
unique
needs
and
challenges
faced
by
individuals
who
were
part
of
these
institutions.
The
program's
eligibility
is
inclusive,
extending
to
both
First
Nations
and
non-First
Nations
individuals
who
have
a
connection to Indian Day Schools.
Under
the
IDS
HSS
program,
a

of
support
services
is
provided
to
promote
the
well-being
of
those
affected.
This
may
include
access
to
counseling,
psychotherapy,
and
other
specialized
health
services
tailored
to
the
experiences
of
individuals
